One that got away

Good piece on Indians going back to their native diet for health reasons. But I wonder what they used for vegetable oil thousands of years ago.

Thanks so much for posting this. I think I would have missed it otherwise. As someone who lived on the fringes of the Pima Rez, this is heartening to hear about.
As far as the vegetable oil goes, don't foodways become "traditional" if that's all you've ever known? :)

Thanks for the feedback. Amazing how simple the solution might be.

As for the oil, I started to worry about the lard shaming, only to realize pigs were brought here after Columbus. Nothing is what it seem.
