Beacongal said...: Well, I've been escaping into books, as always, and have learned that Jennie Jerome Churchill, aka Lady Randolph Churchill, had a snake tattoo on her wrist that she frequently covered with jewels. So this was also a Victorian pastime, it appears. P.S.
